Each member's birthday in detail

Jin — December 4, 1992

Kim Seok-jin is the oldest member of BTS and the group's visual and vocalist. His birthday falls in the busiest week of the K-pop support-ad calendar, because early December overlaps with year-end fan events.

Suga — March 9, 1993

Min Yoon-gi, also known as Agust D, is the second oldest member and one of the group's three rappers. March 9 is one of the most heavily celebrated ARMY dates outside of the June 13 debut anniversary.

J-Hope — February 18, 1994

Jung Ho-seok is BTS's main dancer and a rapper. His February 18 birthday is shared with SEVENTEEN's DK and Vernon, which makes mid-February an unusually crowded week for fan ad bookings.

RM — September 12, 1994

Kim Nam-joon is the leader of BTS. September 12 sits in the middle of a dense run of September K-pop birthdays — see our full list of K-pop idols born in September.

Jimin — October 13, 1995

Park Ji-min is a main dancer and vocalist. October 13 falls into the October cluster alongside Stray Kids' Bang Chan and Lee Know — see K-pop idols born in October.

V — December 30, 1995

Kim Tae-hyung's birthday is the last of the year for BTS, landing two days before New Year. Because ad inventory in Japan is booked out over the New Year period, V's birthday ads are usually reserved earliest of all seven.

Jungkook — September 1, 1997

Jeon Jung-kook is the maknae (youngest member). September 1 opens the September birthday season, and it is one of the highest-volume dates for fan-funded ads in both Seoul and Tokyo.

Want to celebrate a BTS birthday with a real ad in Japan?

A birthday ad — called a senil ad (생일광고) in Korean and 応援広告 (ouen koukoku) in Japanese — is a fan-funded advertisement placed on a real station poster or digital screen to celebrate an idol's birthday. The practice started in Korea and is now well established in Japan, and Tokyo placements are open to fans living outside Japan.

FormatWho can book itApply byPrices from
Digital signage / outdoor vision (Shin-Okubo, Shibuya, Shinjuku)An individual can book alone2 months beforeAbout ¥13,000
Station posterA group of 2 or more, with a short group profile3–4 months beforeAbout ¥16,000

Two things to settle before you book. Every fan support ad needs permission from the idol or their agency, and you will be asked for proof of it — a screenshot of the approval email or DM — when you order. Ads featuring anyone under 18 cannot be accepted. If permission and finished artwork are both already in hand, digital signage can sometimes go live in about 2 days.

Applications, design checks and installation are handled in English, so you do not need to read Japanese to book one. Book a birthday ad in Japan on the Oshi-Ad store, or read the full walkthrough in How to run a birthday ad for your K-pop idol in Japan.
